Jan is a ‘people in organisations’ specialist with an extensive background in vocational training management, corporate services administration and human resources leadership. Her undergraduate studies included training & development, while postgraduate studies include business administration, human resource management and organisation dynamics. Specialising in building and enhancing more effective teams, Jan works creatively with people to bring out their best and to achieve outstanding organisational results.
Jan’s background includes managing a state-funded vocational training centre before heading up corporate services for a major government-supported employment scheme. Her career progressed into the human resources field. For many years Jan worked as an HR executive within the banking sector and continues to consult to many organisations. Jan is a Certified Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
Organisational Psychosociology is the application of psychological and sociological knowledge and methods to the study and management of organisations.

Dr Philip Bachelor OAM BAppSc GCPsych MBA PhD FIML FAICD
Business, Community & Social Loss Specialist
Philip is nationally & internationally renowned as a bereavement services administrator, researcher, author and educator. His undergraduate studies included environment & cultural resource management and corporate governance. Postgraduate studies include business administration, social anthropology and psychology. Over 35 years he has managed a range of community facilities, led delivery of practical bereavement services, and trained cemetery leaders in more effective service of culturally diverse mourners.
Philip’s background includes managing urban & provincial local government parks & recreation facilities & services, and small & large cemeteries in Victoria and interstate over 30 years. He’s also managed a commercial social firm supporting employees with psychiatric illnesses, and been a TAFE administrator & teacher, and a university course director & lecturer. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers & Leaders Aust & NZ and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Philip has been a volunteer support person in Victoria’s youth justice system for over a decade, and for six years was a director of Paramedics Australasia (now ACP). He’s currently an honorary director of Grief Australia. In 2015, he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia “for services to the community, the environment and to cemetery management”.

Jan and Philip have enjoyed a loving relationship for almost 50 years, raising family, building careers, travelling and learning. They have three married daughters, five wonderful grandchildren and one cute great-granddaughter.
